Slice Seeding

When lawn renovation is needed, slice seeding can often solve the problem quickly, easily and with little mess or bother.

What is Slice Seeding?
Slice seeding is the quickest and most effective way of reseeding existing lawns that are damaged or dead. Slice seeding is accomplished with a special machine that has rotating vertical knives that slice through the old lawn planting new seed in the soil below. Slice seeding is not only a superior way of reseeding, it eliminates the mess and expense of tilling or tearing out the existing lawn.

How a Slice Seeder works
A slice seeder is made up of three basic parts: 1) Slicing knives that cut through the thatch and soil creating tiny slits and seed beds. 2) Seed tubes which insert the seed into the prepared seedbeds and 3) Disks or rollers that close the soil over the seed for superior seed to soil contact.

Our System
Our slice seeding process is accomplished with a special machine that has rotating knives that cut through the thatch and soil creating small slits. Seed is inserted into these slits at the proper depth for perfect seed to soil contact resulting in superior germination. The old lawn plays an important role in protecting the new seed and helps to hold in vital moisture.

Guaranteed results
If slice seeding fails to repair your lawn, and you have followed our care instructions during the seed establishment period, we guarantee to reseed at no additional charge.
